There was a time when we bought BBQ sauce to keep on hand for our occasional cookouts or for the kids to use for chicken nuggets. Bruce makes our BBQ sauce from scratch now. Not only is this BBQ sauce so good, but it doesn’t have all the added things that we really do not need in our food.
The base is a tomato sauce, and we add in vinegar and honey to give it a sweet and tangy taste. Dijon mustard, and molasses gives it a nice depth of flavor.
Do your self a flavor, and mix this up and leave it on low and slow on the stove, in the oven or out in your smoker. You won’t be sorry. Hit that 2X button and make a double batch so you have enough for using on dinners and sandwiches through out the week. Make a BBQ chicken pizza using our overnight pizza dough!
