Instructions
Prepare the Puff Pastry: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
1 sheet puff pastry
Score the Pastry: Using a sharp knife, lightly score a 1-inch border around the edges of the puff pastry. Be careful not to cut all the way through. This will allow the edges to puff up while baking.
Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla & almond extract until smooth.
4 oz cream cheese, 2 tbsp granulated sugar
Assemble the Danish: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly within the scored border of the puff pastry. Arrange the mixed berries on top of the cream cheese filling.
Egg Wash: Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden finish.
Bake: Bake for 18-22 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, half and half, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.
Glaze and Serve: Drizzle the glaze over the cooled Danish. Slice and serve immediately. Enjoy!
