Apple cider martini with an apple and a half an apple

Make this cozy Fall cocktail with apple cider. Use vodka, gin or bourbon to make this drink just the way you like it. The cinnamon and sugar rim gives it an extra boost of flavor!

Ingredients

For the Rim

  • 1 tbsp turbinado sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 oz fresh apple cider local, unfiltered cider works best, but commercial apple juice will do in a pinch
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 0.5 oz triple sec for a hint of citrus
  • Juice of half a fresh lemon 0.5 oz
  • Juice of half a cutie orange 0.5 oz
  • Ice

Garnish

  • Thin apple slice

Instructions

  • Prepare the Rim: On a shallow plate, mix together the turbanado sugar and ground cinnamon.  Run the lemon half along the edge of the rim of the martinini glass, then dip into the sugar, rolling the edge to get it fully coated.

  • Mix the Cocktail: In a ice filled cocktail shaker, combine the apple cider, vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, and  orange juice. Shake vigorously to blend the flavors and chill the drink.
    2 oz fresh apple cider, 2 oz vodka, 0.5 oz triple sec, Juice of half a fresh lemon, Juice of half a cutie orange, Ice
  • Strain and Serve: For an ultra-smooth cocktail, strain the mixture into your prepared glass, using a cocktail strainer. Garnish with a  thin apple slice for that festive touch.
