Raspberry simple syrup is as easy as it sounds. We always have fresh berries in our fridge for snacking and baking. When the berries have been in fridge a little longer, and are starting to be on the riper side, that is the perfect time to make simple syrup.
We use this simple syrup in one our readers favorite cocktails: Raspberry Martini! Mix up a single, or a batch of these soon!
Servings: 12 ounces
Ingredients
- 1 cup Driscoll’s raspberries
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small pot, and bring to a low boil. Allow to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and allow to cool.
- Once the mixture is cooled, pour through a strainer, pressing solids with a spatula. Repeat the straining again through a more fine mesh strainer. Pour the syrup into a glass container that you can seal.
