A cucumber martini has got to be one of my most favorite cocktails. I make these year-round with store-bought baby cucumbers, but there is something about a garden-picked cucumber that makes them even better. We combine the juice of fresh lime and Cointreau along with gin for the freshest cocktail. You can serve this straight up in a martini glass or over ice with a splash of Perrier for something a little bit lighter.
This is a great summer party cocktail. You can multiply the recipe and have it in a pitcher with slices of limes! If you want something a little lighter, add the cocktail to a glass over a large ice cube and top with Perrier. I use cucumber lime-flavored Perrier.

Instructions for cucumber martini:
- Slice the length of the cucumber to get a slice that you can curl for the garnish. Curl and stab with a cocktail skewer and sit aside.
- Chop up the balance of the cucumber. Add cucumber to cocktail shaker and muddle. If you don’t have a muddler, use a wooden spoon.
- Cut lime in half. Then slice a garnish from one half. Juice the rest into the cocktail shaker. Add the gin and cointreau into the shaker, and add ice. Shake.
- Strain cocktail into a martini glass and garnish with cucumber slice on skewer.
