Ingredients for Ranch Crackers

  • 16 oz saltine crackers (4 sleeves)
These crackers are the perfect base, sturdy enough to hold up to the flavorful seasoning while maintaining their crisp texture.
  • 1 cup oil (olive, canola, or a combination)
The oil helps the seasoning adhere evenly to the crackers and adds a subtle richness.
  • 1 (1 oz) package ranch seasoning
Delivers a tangy, herbaceous flavor that complements the chili lime seasoning beautifully.
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne
Adds a touch of heat for those who enjoy a little spice in their snacks.
  • 1½ teaspoons garlic granules (not garlic salt)
Enhances the savory notes without adding extra salt, making the flavors pop.
  • 2 teaspoons chili lime seasoning
The star of this recipe, it provides a bold combination of zesty lime and smoky chili, giving these crackers their unique flavor.

How to prepare the Ranch Crackers:

  1. Prepare the Crackers: Open all 4 sleeves of saltines and place them in a shallow container with a seal-tight lid. Stand the crackers upright to help the seasoning distribute evenly.
  2. Mix the Seasoning: In a large glass measuring cup with a pour spout, whisk together the oil, ranch seasoning, cayenne, garlic granules, and chili lime seasoning until fully combined.
  3. Taste and Adjust: Dip a cracker into the seasoned oil mixture and taste. Adjust the flavor by adding more cayenne or garlic granules if desired.
  4. Pour and Seal: Slowly pour the seasoned oil mixture over the crackers, making sure to coat them evenly. Seal the container tightly with the lid.
  5. Marinate: Let the crackers sit for 5 minutes, then gently flip the container over. Repeat this process every few minutes for 30 minutes to ensure the crackers absorb the seasoning completely.
  6. Serve: Once the crackers are fully seasoned, remove them from the container and enjoy immediately or store for later.
